Regional Business Development Chef 

Up to 40k + Travel

The Regional Business Development Chef's primary responsibility is to support the business development team to generate new business and to assist in retention bids. To confidently and competently deliver and present our food offer in sales presentations and to be involved in all stages of the sales process from initial site visits to presentations.

During periods of reduced sales activity, the Business Development Chef will assist the Regional Exec Chefs in activities across the business, including mobilisation and added value events.

 

The role is responsible for the practical delivery of the foodservice elements at sales presentations within the Primary, Secondary and College sectors.

 

The role is regional, so involves extensive travel and a typical week includes 1 - 2 sales presentations to potential clients, students and consultants. Preparation is often off site before coordinating arrival with the sales team and setting up, often in unusual circumstances in a short period of time. Presentations will involve displaying of food to the required Company standards and you will be expected to talk about the food, ingredients, nutrition, trends, development, supply chain, food for life and added value.

  • HSE - Ensure that all legislative and Compass operational procedures and standards are applied to provide a consistent and safe service and product for all Compass employees and customers
  • Client Sales - Deliver best in class, sector appropriate food presentations considering competitive strategies at all times. Manage presentation requirements & coordinate with regional teams for venue and personnel support, utilising site teams where necessary for all activity including the order of all ingredients.
  • Regularly review with key stakeholders to ensure presentations are in line with market trends and current offer
  • Consumer Sales - Working closely with Food Development and Senior Executive Chefs to ensure presentation of the latest food offers, Concepts and menus at sales proposals.
