Research Development Manager (International)                                Vacancy Ref: 12474                                                             

Salary (H3): £38,587 to £50,296 per annum, plus £2,166 per annum London Weighting

Full-time, permanent

We are looking for an experienced individual to facilitate growth in the University’s engagement with international research funding sources. Working within the Research Development Section, the post holder will work alongside leading scientists at the cutting edge of their field, promoting funding opportunities, contributing directly to the preparation of proposals and delivering targeted initiatives to improve success rates. 

As the funding landscape for collaborative research and innovation with international partners continues to evolve, this is an exciting opportunity to play a major role in driving new initiatives to support the University’s ambitious research strategy.

A first degree and work experience within a Higher Education and/or research environment are required.  Detailed knowledge of international (including EU) funding schemes is essential, as well as demonstrable experience of drafting grant proposals alongside academic and collaborative partners. The ideal candidate will have exceptional proposal writing skills, alongside excellent organisational and presentation skills to facilitate successful interactions with collaborators.
