Contract: Permanent, full time
Make a difference with the Housing Maintenance Experts
A quarter of a million households in the UK rely on Kier Housing Maintenance (HM) to repair and maintain their homes. We're a crucial part of Kier Places, an expert operation driven by a 24/7/365 customer service centre - and a commitment to go that extra mile for people and the places they live. We have long standing partnership agreements with housing associations, local authorities and private landlords to conduct responsive repairs and planned maintenance across various sites, where our commitment to our clients has resulted in us being shortlisted for Contractor of the Year at the UK Housing Awards 2020.
To support our Muir Housing Partnership, we are now recruiting for a Resource Controller to join us in Loughton to assist with the delivery of day-to-day repairs & maintenance.
In the post of Resource Controller, you'll play a key role in a customer centric service delivery - providing a first point of contact for our client, key stakeholders and the operational team. Your day to day activities will include taking repair and maintenance requests, checking availability of resources, and scheduling for the necessary work to be undertaken.
What do we need from you?
Can you do it? Yes, you can - if you have outstanding customer service skills and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise work, and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment. Previous experience within the repairs & maintenance sector is highly desirable, as well as experience in a scheduling capacity, and knowledge of Opti Time, CRMs, and job booking systems.
What will you receive?
You can expect a competitive salary and an outstanding package that includes a matched pension scheme up to 7.5%, 26 days' annual leave + bank holidays (with the opportunity to buy or sell holiday), two employee Share Scheme options (Sharesave and Share Incentive Plan), together with additional valuable benefits such as:
One professional membership fee reimbursement
Free Life Assurance + option for extra self-cover or for your partner
Flexible and Agile working (dependent on your role)
Critical Illness, Dental, Personal Accident, and Travel Insurance options
Health care cash plan
24/7 Virtual GP Service, Wellbeing, and Employee Assistance Programme
Access to Kier Rewards, our exclusive Discount Shopping Site with deals available at over 800 retailers, including restaurants, travel providers, and supermarkets
Plus, many more benefits geared to your wellbeing
It's worth remembering that if you are successful, we'll undertake the relevant / standard pre-employment checks after you have been offered a job. This includes taking up your references, verifying your right to work in the UK, verifying your driving licence (if applicable) and a health assessment.
Due to the nature of this role, you will also be required to complete a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (applicants with criminal convictions will be treated on a case by case basis. We do not discriminate based on an applicant's criminal record or the details of any offences disclosed to us). Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks.
