The Role
As an RF Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for monitoring the integrity of the MOD's satellite communication services.

Day-to-day, you'll monitor and analyse the satellite networks RF spectrum and produce reports at a classified level.

  • Conduct radio frequency propagation surveys
  • Provide forensic analytics that support evidential quality data across the spectrum
  • Assisting in response to interference and spectrum intrusion
  • Provide advice to the MOD

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements

Experience required of the RF Engineer

  • Practical knowledge of RF transmission systems including use of frequency spectrum
  • Expert level understanding of radio frequency principals
  • Experience of the UK spectrum licencing regime inc OFCOM requirements
  • Knowledge of satellite communication systems

Qualifications for the RF Engineer

  • Degree or equivalent in relevant engineering subject
