Job title: Risk & Insurance Manager
Base location: London or Hook, Hampshire
Salary: Up to £85,000
As a global organisation of 50,000 employees operating in 20 countries, we rely on our Risk and Insurance function keep the business running smoothly and efficiently. In this role we will be looking for you to use your expertise to support the Risk and Insurance functions within a small central ERM team that develops and oversees strategy, policy, implementation and reporting of Risk, Insurance, Compliance Assurance, and Business Continuity in the business. You will play a key role in enhancing Serco's risk management culture across the business as well as helping to measure and report on its effectiveness, thereby reducing risk in the global enterprise.

What you'll need to do the role
Firstly, you'll need an appropriate professional qualification in the domain of ERM, Risk, Insurance, or similar management discipline. You'll need demonstrable experience as an insurance manager who understands the corporate needs of organisations of similar size and breadth in the areas of Risk and Insurance. You'll have the ability and resilience to influence and deal with senior stakeholders in a company of the size and breadth of Serco. You'll need a good understanding of industry best practice in terms of methods and tools with demonstrable experience of successful partnering with the business, reducing risk, improving insurance capability and effectiveness and improving awareness. Lastly, you'll need A good knowledge of the sectors we work in and a comprehensive understanding of risk types, insurable risks, how they impact a business and strategies for mitigation.
