YOUR ROLE
As a key member of our team, your primary responsibility will be to ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) processes. You'll play a vital role in meeting legal, policy, and contractual requirements while supporting the wider team in achieving QSHE targets and driving operational excellence.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide advise to Operations on QSHE matters, primarily Health and Safety, Health & Environment, but can include Quality and Learning & Development in support of compliance and achievement of KPIs and Objectives.
- Complete assurance activity including internal audits and safety tours, in order to satisfy legislative, policy and contractual requirements and in line with ISO Standards (9001, 14001 and 45001)
- Provide support to external audits.
- Identify and develop corrective actions from internal and external audits and support Operations in the implementation of those corrective actions.
- Support the accident reporting process by progression accident / incident investigations and the ensuring the identification and implementation of suitable corrective and mitigating actions.
- Support positive reporting culture by encouraging the reporting of Near misses and Safety Concerns. Ensuring suitable actions are taken to mitigate and information is fed back to colleagues.
- Ensure that all colleagues are aware of relevant QSHE information by use of QSHE communications process.
- Report performance against targets to the QSHE Management Team
- Support customers in QSHE matters and processes, relevant to our contractual sites ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customer specifications.
- Support L&D to ensure QSHE training is suitable and sufficient and is delivered and maintained in accordance with identified Risk Control measures
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- IOSH Managing Safety (required)
- NEBOSH NGC (desirable) or willing to train.
- Audit Experience (required) - ISO Standards 9001; 14001 & 45001 preferable. Willing to qualify as Lead Auditor
- Integrated Management System Experience
- Experience within a customer focused environment
- Logistics, Aviation, MOD, Automotive or similar industry experience would be advantageous
