Kents Hill Park is a training, and conference venue located in the vibrant city of Milton Keynes. With 70 meeting rooms and 300 bedrooms with exceptional service, and a commitment to delivering memorable experiences; we cater to a diverse range of residential conferences, corporate training days, and association/special interest group events. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to step up from a support role, such as Sales Coordinator or Assistant Office Manager, into a proactive, client-facing sales position to help us expand our market presence and drive revenue growth.
Role Overview:
As Sales Executive, you will work closely with the Director of Sales to identify and secure new business opportunities, with a focus on corporate training events, conferences, and corporate accommodation bookings. You will build and nurture relationships with clients, focusing on driving revenue growth by promoting our venue's facilities and services. This is a fantastic opportunity for a results-driven individual with a passion to continue to develop in a proactive sales or for a result-driven individual to take their first step into a proactive sales role in meetings and events.
Key Responsibilities:
This role will be responsible for local proactive sales activity working with the Director of Sales to maximize local account management opportunities from local business parks, local networking events and local companies.
Support with sales activity within the local market including local corporate bedroom accounts.
Working closely with the Sales Office team to identify business opportunities from past and present enquiries and customers to drive the sales pipeline for the venue.
Proactively seek out and engage with new corporate clients to promote conference, training, and accommodation offerings.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients through regular communication and excellent customer service.
Conduct research to identify potential business leads this could be from past and current customers, past databases, local and national information.
Attend local networking events, and keep up-to-date with market trends in the industry.
Meet or exceed revenue targets through strategic planning and sales initiatives.
Prepare and present proposals, conduct site visits, and negotiate contracts with corporate clients.
Key Requirements:
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with a passion for building relationships.
Preferred experience in an events sales position or sales support role, ideally within the hospitality or events sector.
Enthusiastic, self-motivated and driven with a keen interest in developing a career in sales.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Comfortable working with a variety of different systems.
A positive attitude and the desire to be part of a growing and dynamic team.
Organised and able to prioritise work load.
Honest, consistent and gain and hold respect of others.
Ability to travel.
