Our FM business delivers Facilities Management to homes, public and private sector bodies including Registered Providers, schools, universities and blue light statutory authorities. To carry out a cleaning service in specified areas of the school to a high standard as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor and/or Site Manager and in accordance with the cleaning specification. Some flexibility is required as there may be times when you are required assist with staff shortfalls or emergency situations
·To constantly check standards of cleaning throughout the shift in all areas and report any damage to the building or health and safety issues to the Site Manager.
·To ensure the correct use of cleaning materials and understand the safe use of all substances and manage to COSHH regulations.
·To ensure the correct collection, storage and removal of waste/rubbish from work area to collection point.
·To ensure the collection point is always secured.
·To ensure you are adhering to the colour coding directives and are regularly changing mop heads, cloths, and other equipment.
·To ensure all toilets, tea points and all common areas are sanitised and refreshed during the day,
·To check and replenish all consumable dispensers in all the toilets and tea points.
·To attend to spillages and other emergency cleaning.
·To clean and sanitise touch points, door handles, push-plates, and other surfaces.
·Vacuum carpets and mop floors when requested.
·Litter pick and empty over-flowing bins in all corridors and tea points.
·Ability to work to laid down schedules
·Previous experience of cleaning services and use of cleaning equipment is desirable but not essential
·Knowledge of the use of chemicals (COSHH) and Health and Safety legislation is desirable but not essential
·Experience in a School environment would be desirable but not essential
As this role will involve working in school's confirmation of appointment will be subject to completion of a satisfactory Disclosure Barring Service Check.
