Seasonal Tourism Services Assistant
Salary currently £18,065 - £18,426 per
annum (pro rata)
15 hours + per week – to commence 1 May
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a customer focused candidate to
join the Tourism Services Team. This post will be based in the Tourism &
Corporate Marketing Service office at the Town Hall, Scarborough, and as you
will also be required to work in the Whitby Tourism Services Bureau a clean
full driving licence is essential. Weekend and Bank Holiday working will be required.
As a Seasonal Tourism Services Assistant you will: Deliver a high
quality front line service
- The successful candidate will be
responsible for delivering an excellent sales and marketing service to
potential customers to the Borough and will support all aspects of tourism
to encourage business and leisure tourism.
- The ideal candidate will be an
excellent communicator and have an in-depth knowledge of the Borough’s
Tourism products. The post will
also require the candidates to have proven sales and marketing skills and
be competent in the use of database and IT booking systems.
- Respond to a wide range of customer enquiries
within the Tourism & Corporate Marketing Service
- Contribute to and support the implementation
of changes and improvements in the service.
- Use Information Technology to collect store
and update information.
