Job Description

Bolton College is continuing progress towards being a Trauma Informed College. All staff are being trained in The Impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and a new team of Mental Health first aiders taken from college staff have been appointed to help with front line support for staff and learners.  This post is key to the mental health agenda and the welfare of our learners.

SEN Specialist – Mental Health

Scale PO1

£30,902 - £33,590 (pro rata) per annum

29.6 hours per week

 

We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Specialist to join our Learner Support team in a dynamic role at Bolton College.

 

An opportunity has arisen for a senior practitioner within the Transition and Assessment team.  As a motivated self-starter, you will have experience in teaching learners with mental health needs and delivering mental health provision within an FE setting and in liaising with partner agencies, schools, parents and carers.  The post will involve writing professional reports for learners with significant mental health needs and working with the other staff in the team of specialist assessors to complete funding applications.
