Estimator / Cost Planner - Pre-Construction

Kier Places are recruiting for an experienced Estimator or Cost Planner to join our passionate Pre-Construction Capital Projects Team. With our diverse portfolio of projects, we are looking for an individual who has a passion for the project at hand, and securing work, whilst also being able to work within a good and healthy team environment. You will be working on a portfolio of projects predominantly in the occupied building arena, including residential, commercial, public sectors, ranging from fire safety improvements to large internal and external refurbishment projects and construction works, with values in the range of £1m - £7.5m. Work will be varied within the projects, fire risk assessment and planned maintenance fields procured via two-stage tenders, frameworks and competitive tendering.
As an Estimator / Cost Planner, your role will be focused of advising, preparing and winning new tenders and existing framework opportunities for the business. This will require you to manage robust and long-term relationships with clients and internal teams in line with the general strategy. You will need to assist, as well as manage, the production of tender documents, attend pre-tender and post tender interviews, and provide data as requested.

Ideally you will be degree qualified, have similar project sector experience, and good technical construction knowledge.
