Our Employment, Skills and Enterprise business provides support to citizens, from supporting the unemployed into sustainable work, to upskilling those with low or no vocational skills, so they can progress in work.
We are now expanding our team and have a number of Senior Job Coaches role available in either Birmingham or Coventry
As a Senior Job Coach, you will be managing a small caseload of jobseekers, with the key aim of helping them to overcome any barriers to employment with the support and guidance they need. Starting with a full Needs Assessment, you'll develop actions plans with them - identifying their key skills, creating their CV, providing information and guidance on interview types and techniques, identifying suitable job opportunities, and monitoring their overall progression into employment.
And as a Senior Job Coach you'll also be providing support and guidance to other Job Coaches, you'll share best practices and drive continuous improvement across the whole team.
What you'll need to do the role:
First and foremost, we're looking for people with a background within the employment sector (ie Employment Advisors, Job Coaches, Work Coaches, Employment Coaches) along with the motivation and drive to support, mentor and coach jobseekers back into work. You'll have sound expertise in relation to the jobs market and recruitment sector and have a track record in building relationships with employers and/or community organisations in your area.
You'll need to build rapport with jobseekers too, so you'll have the communication and influencing skills needed to do that. You'll also have demonstrable experience in driving continuous improvement and developing innovative solutions.
