Your role

We are looking for a Senior Network Architect who has experience in delivering crypto solutions. They will assist in the design, delivery and management of Network Services on a project within a secure environment. Your main responsibilities are:

  • Provide day to day support to the Solution Lead, Programme and Project Managers to deliver the required network designs as specified in work packages.
  • To support the Lead Architect/ CTO in defining designs in line with requirements.
  • To take ownership of HLD/LLD components for specific key design areas.
  • To ensure that the network requirements within the project’s Requirements and Traceability Matrix (RCTM) are met.
  • To interface with all project stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are aligned and technical solutions and allocated resource are used in the most efficient manner.
  • To provide technical and network expertise relating to standard network architecture building blocks (i.e. Core, Distribution, Access layer)
  • To ensure the designs produced are fit for purpose and are capable of being put through Design Approval Board (DAB).
  • To ensure that the designs produced by the project are conformant with Fujitsu’s Business management standards
  • Provide input into reports, when required, to the Customer, Programme team and Solution Lead
  • Liaise with and assist with managing 3rd parties and their technical deliverables
  • Provide impact assessment on customer and internal Change Requests

 

Your experience

    • Excellent design experience in proposing and utilizing technologies from Juniper and Cisco
    • Experience of delivering network solutions and involvement throughout the design lifecycle
    • Experience of delivering secure networks and associated security accreditation processes
    • Network design within virtualized infrastructure
    • Strong knowledge of approved hardware encryption devices, such as Catapan and Bulldog
    • Juniper JNCIS-ENT accreditation
    • Cisco CCNP/CCDP accreditation
    • Firewalls specifically from Juniper, Cisco and Fortinet portfolio
    • Network Routing protocols i.e. BGP,OSPF
    • SVI/RVI and VLAN design and configuration
    • Network Time Protocol design and configuration
    • SNMPv3, Syslog,
    • AAA design and configuration
    • IPv4 and IPv6 Network Addressing
    • Remote Access solutions and VPN design i,e Cisco AnyConnect
    • Network troubleshooting
    • Passive infrastructure – i.e. OM3 fibre, 62.5 /50 micron, fibre termination types

We are looking for a Cyber Security Architect taking a key role in a customer facing team, you will support the delivery of highly secure network services into MOD – working with the solution architects to deliver a high assurance service and assuring accreditation from design to delivery.

 

Your role will involve taking responsibility for the security aspects, working with the customer and colleagues to understand and manage risk through appropriate methods to deliver an excellent customer experience. You should be comfortable:

  • Implementing process, procedures and controls to drive successful accreditation processes of the supporting system.
  • Assisting in external security testing team for IT Health check activities.
  • Conducting regular risk assessments to Identify Information and IT security risks, evaluate, communicate to key stake holders and manage those risks through the company risk register.
  • Creating, managing and maintaining security operations policies and procedures (i.e.) LLD and HLD documents.
  • Management and control of the security operations of the project.
  • Interfacing with customer on all security matters and provide regular update on security operations process and procedures.
  • Responsible for compiling regular weekly and monthly Security reporting (SWG) for the security operations covering compliance, risks, exceptions and plans.
  • Ensuring all security incidents are dealt with in a timely, professional and efficient manner and are correctly reported to the customer.
  • Undertaking proactive assurance and audits of live systems and services to track compliance against security designs, standards and specifications
  • Managing internal IT health check activities by performing configuration checks of deployed infrastructure to ensure configurations conform to defined policies and ensuring effective remedial actions.

 

Your experience

 

  • Strong understanding of Information Security related aspects including regulatory requirements and policies, technical control processes and security solutions within a defence environment
  • Knowledge of JSP 440, JSP 604, SPF, HMG InfoSec Standards 1 & 2 and other HMG Government Security Standards.
  • Experience in the compliance and accreditation of UK Government IT systems
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team player
  • CISM/CISSP/ISO27000
  • Ideally have experience and understanding of IT network security, PKI, ITIL, IS1/2 or IRAM 2, SNOC Operations, BCP DR, NCSC guidance.

 

Work from home with occasional trips to client and Fujitsu sites.
