If so, this role for an experienced, data literate professional could be the opportunity you have been looking for.
This post will take a primary role in the provision of high-quality information to aid the interpretation of operational performance and to inform decision making. This will involve linking in closely with the colleagues in Adult Social Care and Health and other Council departments to deliver analytical performance insights and intelligence whilst developing and presenting enhanced reporting and visualisation.
You will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience of delivering and leading on information related work. Your approach will be to share, enable and educate colleagues at all levels about the capabilities and potential of high quality, insightful, analytics.
You will be leading on the development, implementation and use of a range of reporting techniques. You will need expert knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), and an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with Power BI or similar.
The role is a technical lead so you will have to rapidly become conversant with the reporting tools and record systems we use (primarily the AzeusCare client record system).
Ideally you will:
- be familiar with reporting using industry standard tools (e.g. SQL, Power BI)
- be able to manage competing priorities and organise your workload and that of the team
- have experience of managing staff and providing supervision, advice, and support to other members of a team
- be able to use narrative and graphic techniques to illustrate and explain the data to operational and senior managers.
An understanding of adult social care would be advantageous, but is not essential.
