About the role

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Planning, this is an important role in the strategic planning process within TEF UK. This role involves working with TEF UK senior management to formulate a compelling and impactful 3-year plan for TUK, aligned with our agreed strategy and financial targets.

Role responsibilities

Support the Head of Strategic Planning in developing a compelling and impactful Telefonica UK 3 Year Plan, in particular:

Engage effectively with stakeholders from the different functions to deliver an aligned and coherent 3 Year Plan that secures the best outcomes for TEF UK

Develop and maintain an impactful 3YP strategy narrative for submissions to TEF Group and for internal communications within TEF UK

Manage and control changes to the TUK 3YP narrative

Facilitate running of the TEF UK strategic planning process, ensuring:

We develop and maintain a fully aligned cross-business approach, ensuring key deliverables are agreed with TEF UK planning community and other key stakeholders

Functional planning teams work closely together to deliver aligned plans consistent with the overarching TEF UK strategy

Interdependencies and change are managed effectively

Lead the 3 Year Plan tracking process for collating and presenting the progress against key strategic milestones to the Exec Team, highlighting issues that need action to address

The role will also offer opportunities to:

Lead and support the wider Strategy team in conducting analysis and answering key strategic questions to underpin our strategy

Lead cross business strategy projects, ensuring full-alignment with TEF UK's strategic goals and ambitions

What we need:

Experience in strategy, planning and/or process management roles

Experience of running and facilitating high profile processes involving multiple stakeholders across different business areas

Excellent team-working and interpersonal skills, building and maintaining positive relationships across the business

Effective & credible communicator, with influence at all levels of business, including SLT/WLT level

Skilled at distilling complex plans and messages down to clear and impactful powerpoint slides

High impact self-starting individual, resourceful, solution and process driven

Strategic thinker, analytical, with strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

Resilient flexible approach to modifying best laid plans/processes based on external stimuli

Experience of working with both Operations and Commercial areas of the business

Thorough understanding of the telecoms market and digital services and of the potential opportunities/threats for the industry

Knowledge and experience of the broader TMT space
