Senior Track Welder (Senior Infrstaructure Technician)
About the role
Here at Babcock International, we're looking to recruit a Senior Track Welder to join the team being responsible for carrying out Track Renewals welding duties and inspection of welds including plan line and Switches & Crosses, in accordance with Group Standards and Line Specifications relevant to the Contract.
You will also undertake Thermit welding when required, providing the inspection and carrying out MMA weld repairs as directed.
This is an exciting opportunity with excellent training on offer, and potential to build on your skills.
What do I need to do the role?
Welding Competence: minimum, TW2 /TW3 /TW4.
Ideally you will have a sound knowledge of Aluminothermic and Manual Arc welding procedures, and of Permanent Way component parts.
You will also have a good knowledge of Rules and Regulations, Safety Procedures, HASAW and other appropriate statutory regulations.
What else do I need to know?
You will be required to work nights and weekends as part of a standard roster pattern with the need, as and when required, to live and work away from home . We are happy to talk about flexible working. Please ask about alternative works patterns at interview.
