Full time, 39 hours



Serco at RAF Alconbury/ RAF Molesworth are contracted to USAFE to deliver Ground Transportation services across the UK.


We are recruiting for a PCV Driver who is looking to improve their work life balance. Reporting to the Serco Vehicle Operations Supervisor, the role requires the Shift Driver to complete driving tasks in support of the mission at RAF Alconbury. The successful postholder must follow all road and driving regulations, driving hours and Working Time Directive. As part of this role you will be required to work on a 5 day shift system over 7 day period with the potential for some nights out. It goes without saying that you will be responsible for the safe operation of USAF vehicles and must comply with federal, state laws and regulations. This role requires the ability to multi-task to assist in other contracted areas - learning various roles and skills, for which training will be provided. There may be the expectation for you to carry out any other contractual duties as required by the Operations Supervisor or Site Manager.


The role comes with its challenges however, you will be joining a supportive team and a friendly working environment.



What you need to do the job


To be considered for this role it is essential that you have experience of regular driving commitments. You must have a clean PCV driving licence and have a current CPC card. This role is physically demanding so you must be able to lift heavy items. This is an opportunity for someone who can communicate with customers at all levels in a polite manner. Other important attributes is being IT literate. It is desirable for the successful post holder to hold a C+E Licence and a Forklift Licence.
