Job Description

The SRE function makes major contributions to our cloud services, working closely with colleagues to define system requirements and build state-of-the-art software and cloud infrastructure.

The difference you will make.

  • Designing & implementing the 24x7 availability of the Business Services we are going to render in Cloud

  • Design and develop DevOps CI/CD solutions on cloud platforms

  • Working on multiple DevOps and Cloud tools such as AWS services, Terraform, Docker, GitHub and Kubernetes platforms

  • Maintaining ownership of large engineering projects through their lifecycle: architecture/design, implementation, testing, monitoring and maintenance

  • Driving continuous improvements in technical and agile practices in addition to day to day delivery responsibilities

  • Delivering new features to our users and customers, all engineers have a cross-cutting responsibility to maintain the high-quality services our organisation and users depend on

What you will bring.

  • Hands on experience of AWS services (EC2, EKS, secret manager, VPC, RDS, DynamoDB etc.) As well as demonstrable experience with Terraform to provision AWS services

  • Hands on experience on GitHub with GitHub action, GitHub runners.

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Experience in Kubernetes or OpenShift

  • Experience in ALM tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Sonar, Docker

  • Experience in SRE

  • Excellent communication and soft skills

What else you need to know.

Given the recent impact of the Coronavirus outbreak we will be conducting all interviews via telephone or video-conference where possible.

This role is currently office Milton Keynes/Home based until corona virus restrictions are lifted.
