Are you a self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision, to

deadlines who enjoys working in a friendly atmosphere? 

We are currently seeking a fully skilled HGV vehicle and plant fitter to join our team at our workshop facility, based in Waterbeach.

Within this role you will be required to carry out servicing and repairs (mechanical, electrical and hydraulic) to a wide range of fleet and private vehicles.  This includes but is not limited to heavy goods vehicles (HGV) including refuse trucks and sweepers, light goods vehicles (LCV), privately owned passenger cars, plant and ground care equipment to contractual and DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency) standards.

You will be expected to prepare and present a wide range of internal and external

contracted fleet for annual MOT tests whilst also assisting the Workshop Team Leader in accurately maintaining all stock parts, recording information on job cards using the fleet management system.

As a minimum requirement, you will have served a full recognised apprenticeship and will hold a City and Guilds level 2 certificate in motor vehicle repair, or equivalent.  Experience of the servicing and repair of HGV and LCV vehicles is essential, as is the ability to diagnose complex vehicle faults.

Previous experience of the maintenance and repair of refuse collection vehicles and associated equipment would be advantageous but not essential.
