As a Skills Training Detail Planner, you will lead on all demand, planning, scheduling and performance measurements for skills training at the Naval Ships Govan and Scotstoun sites

This key role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a diverse role, managing multiple deliverables and a variety of training solutions.

Your main responsibilities as a Skills Training Detail Planner will involve:

Translating the training demand (Annual, Quarterly & weekly submission) into Level 3/Level 4 activities, logic, resourcing & budget

Delivering of training plan in line with the Project Plan and Quarterly look-ahead aspirations

Sourcing 3rd party externally provided training via Successfactors HR tool and HR Services L&D teams

Assigning and maintaining materials and equipment to appropriate activities in line with training design and delivery

Responsible for allocation of task budgets & alignment of workscope budgets

Ensuring material is requested for delivery in sufficient time to support planned activities and work fully enabled

Maintaining quality standards within Plans and compliance to governance measures

Embodying any change in scope or strategy within Level 3/Level 4 plan

Providing key support and guidance to the skills training team members through regular engagement.

Your skills and qualifications:

Proven experience within a similar role with demand planning / training coordination

Understanding and compliance with Company HR, SHE & Quality policies and processes

Understanding of skills training end to end process with a focus on planning and operational excellence

Secure understanding of Planning Tools, Material Requirements Planning (MRP) key operating principles and other Integrated Business Systems (IBS)

Understanding of scheduling principles

Understanding of planning structures and principles

Excellent IT Skills (Microsoft Office Suite) including MS Excel (Advanced level)
