Would you like to play a key role in the delivery of the IM&T capability ? We currently have a vacancy for a Solution Architect at our site in Warton or Samlesbury, this role will require occasionally travel to other UK sites.
As a Solution Architect, you will be the SSSL Business Information Systems IM&T Lead and is required to work with Lockheed Martin (Aero), JPO, IS/IT Workstream members, key suppliers, contractors and the SSSL management team to deliver the identified SSSL Enterprise Business Information Systems.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to be involved in the full lifecycle process of the IM&T capability including design, build and deployment. You will be given the opportunity to work closely with our stakeholders to meet requirements and be aligned to the business concept of operations.
Your main responsibilities as a Solution Architect will involve:
Ensuring that relevant documented IM&T strategies, policies, standards and practices are appropriately applied
Engaging with stakeholder's - influencing local organisation, customers, supplier, partners and peers
Appling technical strategies, policies, standards and practices within own area of responsibility
Undertaking people management
Taking on a lead role; owning specific work areas including coaching and mentoring others
Leading work groups to resolve issues will carry out resource and milestone planning
Supporting the development of the capability
Ensuring the Health & Safety of all your employees and that your area operates in accordance with Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
Providing detailed advice regarding methods, tools and their application to the business
Will work regularly with senior customer and supplier stakeholders and will be authoritative in such interactions
Your skills and qualifications:
Delivery of Solution Architecture (across all relevant architectural domains) and the operational and service models supporting the implementation of agreed capability
Experience ensuring compliance with specified and agreed functional and non-functional requirements, balancing as appropriate the functional, service quality and systems management requirements with affordability as a focus
Hands on experience in the delivery of the technical solution for all project phases, including definition, requirements, development or build, test, operational readiness and transition into service and be responsible for recommending technical estimates (resources) to underpin the lifecycle through to sustainment
Experience working with all technical artefacts to the technical standards and using an industry best practice approach
Relevant IT degree or business degree or hands on expeirnece working in a consultancy and solution delivery environment
Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent experience e.g. HNC / Prince 2 Foundation / Computer Science Degree

Salary: £50,000 + depending on experience and skills
