At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support since 1997. Serco proudly support the RAF and MoD, supplying around 20 different services onsite, from engine and aircraft maintenance, to fuelling and ground control services. RAF Brize Norton is the largest operating base within the Royal Airforce, providing air transport and air-to-air refuelling to the RAF fleet, and as a Support Supply Operative, you'll contribute enormously to the vital work carried out here. You'll also be part of the wider team, with 5,800 service personnel, 1,200 contractors and 300 civil servants on site.
Working within the Serco Supply Support team, you will work closely with RAF colleagues, in delivering services in the following areas:
- Station Publications and Forms Store.
- Forward Delivery.
- Supply Chain Management.
- Clothing Stores.
- Barrack Stores.
- Technical Stores, as part of a blended workforce with military personnel.
- 47 Sqn Supply Section.
What you'll need to do the role:
As training will be provided, this is an opportunity for someone to join our skilled and dedicated Brize Norton team, in a role where they can develop and learn in a new environment. We're looking for someone who is professional, a strong communicator and must also hold a clean driver's licence. While Supply Chain experience would be advantageous, it is not necessarily required.
Due to the nature of the role, all personnel must be able to achieve SC Security Clearance, as well as MoD specific Modular training provided by the authority.
