Supply Supervisor

Full-time, 37 hours, Permanent



At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support since 1997.  Serco proudly support the RAF and MoD, supplying around 20 different services onsite, from engine and aircraft maintenance, to fuelling and ground control services. RAF Brize Norton is the largest operating base within the Royal Airforce, providing air transport and air-to-air refuelling to the RAF fleet, and as a Support Supply Operative, you'll contribute enormously to the vital work carried out here. You'll also be part of the wider team, with 5,800 service personnel, 1,200 contractors and 300 civil servants on site.



Key Accountabilities :



  • Maintenance and Monitoring of spares levels at the Hangar 90 Stores and Warehouse, including co-ordination of spares movements to our industry partners.
  • Co-ordination of Engine transportation to Authorised Maintenance Centres and the 4th line maintenance unit Marshall Aerospace Cambridge (MADG).
  • Liaison with Serco Technicians within PRF, HIOS Supply partners, MADG Buyers, RR Technical Support group and the HIOS Fleet Manager, to ensure spares delivery is right first time every time.
  • Ensure targets and objectives set by the customer and management are met through monitoring of items in the repair chain, analysis and manipulation of data and providing support to the R-R Asset Manager.
  • Supervise a small team of Logistics personnel across two sites on RAF Brize Norton




What you'll need to do the role:



  • Will have successfully completed a recognised civilian or military course in Logistics and previously worked in a supplies management and expedite role.
  • It would be advantageous for the applicant to have a working knowledge of the Lockheed Martin GOLD system used for HIOS supplies management but is not necessarily required as On the Job training will be offered.
  • Understand the impact of decisions on the Airworthiness on the aircraft/component. Basic knowledge of Aviation Audit and Quality reporting and have an understanding of Aviation Occurrence reporting and investigation.
  • Previous experience of supervising a team would be advantageous.


Due to the nature of the role, all personnel must be able to achieve SC Security Clearance, hold a current driving licence and have safe colour perception (For airfield driving).
