An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Swallows Leisure Centre, as we are looking to recruit Casual Swimming Teachers to cover schools, holiday and sickness cover between Monday to Sunday especially at weekday evenings and weekends.
As part of the Swale Leisure Trust, Swallows Leisure Centre is Located in the town centre of Sittingbourne, the whole family can enjoy three swimming pools as well as exciting water features such as the Interactive Pirate Ship, Flume, Waves, Inflatable Slide and Pool Inflatable. We also have a state-of-the-art fitness suite kitted out with the latest equipment, two workout studios offering over 40 classes a week, a crèche and a cafe.
Purpose of Role
In the role of the Swimming Teacher You will be involved working with a range of age groups who vary from age 3 up until adults. Each session will contain swimmers of mixed ability from beginners to advance.
You will be responsible for the safety and skill advancement of the pupils within your care.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who has previous experience of working within the leisure environment with the ability to set and achieve high standards of cleanliness and personal presentation as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. You should also have a good awareness of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Please note: We can only consider applicants who hold an ASA Level 1 / Level 2 or STA award or certificate.
It is desirable that you hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or Rescue Award (or be willing to undertake a course internally when employed).
