Switchboard Manager

James Cook University Hospital, Marton Road, Middlesbrough, TS4 3BW

Full Time - Permanent   

£29,000 per annum + Corporate Benefits


In Serco Health we are looking for an experienced Switchboard Manager who will be responsible for and the delivery of Telecommunication services at James Cook University Hospital.


The Switchboard Manager will be required to ensure that all services are delivered in accordance with appropriate guidelines and in accordance with Company's obligations under the contract.


You will be responsible for delivering services with a hands on and proactive approach to Health & Safety, productivity and quality with a focus on

customer care and continuous improvement through effective performance management, resource planning, staff training and motivation by strong leadership. Ensure compliance to the Serco care Governance strategy and patient care.


In the role you will lead a fully operational and effective Switchboard / Helpdesk facility. The key deliverable is to provide a professional call handling service to the public, patients and staff alike. Paying close attention to emergency calls, pager and alarms


What you'll need to do the role

You will need to be a quicker thinker who can react timely to mixed situations that will come up in the team. Ideally you will have experience of running a large multi-functional Switchboard or Helpdesk function in hospital or other corporate environments.
