What will you be doing?
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for a team of on-street Civil Enforcement Officers and be accountable for their performance. You will need to ensure that full deployment is maintained as well as ensuring all staff are working to the standards stipulated in the operational specification of our contract with our Client. You will hold the daily team briefing, including an update on the day’s events and also a de-brief at the end of each shift.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all contractual KPI’s are met and to assist with HR related matters, conducting investigations and disciplinary meetings when necessary. Part of your role will also involve the collection of cash and therefore any offer of employment will be subject to our background screening process and a DBS check. A large proportion of your time will be spent out on street supervising the CEOs.
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, working hours are 40 hours per week five days out of seven (Mon to Sun) between the hours of Midnight to 23:59. You will also be required to work up to 6 nights before Christmas and the hours for this is 22:00-07:00 (dates are usually confirmed mid-November). You will need to have a flexible approach to your working hours as Bank Holidays and Night Shifts are also a requirement for this role.
What skills will you need?
Previous experience in supervision and leadership is not essential but is highly desirable. Applicants should be able to work well under pressure, have the ability to use their own initiative and be able to prioritise a demanding workload. You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to learn and adhere to company policies and procedures quickly. Good IT skills including knowledge and experience of using the Microsoft Office package is required as you will need to complete general office documentation using Word and Excel.
- A full driving licence (CATB1) is essential.
