We have an exciting and unique opportunity for a team leader to join our innovative and award winning E-commerce Team based in Wellingborough.


The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering a cost effective and high quality service to our Customer; providing first level support to the Shift Controller in managing the team as they carry out their daily tasks by maintaining a consistent presence within the operation. Working on a shift pattern of any 4 from 7 1430 - 2230.


  • Allocate all resources based on hourly/daily requirements
  • Managing performance, accuracy, 5S standards. Understand, capture / update information on KPI boards
  • Deliver pre-shift briefs and prepare shift handover as appropriate
  • Liaise with internal and external customers responding to customer queries and requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Manage and support all people process including performance management, time and attendance and conduct
  • Carry out accident and incident investigations, reporting any H&S issues to the line manager
  • Conduct team reviews and appraisals in line with company standard. Provide support, advice and coaching to operatives as required
  • Operate Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and carry out other assigned Computer based tasks as required
  • To ensure that MHE is being used in accordance with training and Health and Safety legislation. Ensuring that regular checks are completed by doing MHE observations and Hot Spot Checks


  • Experience of working to targets and deadlines
  • PC literate, advanced use of Excel, word and e-mail
  • Good understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (Ciel experience preferable).
  • MHE licence (where applicable)
  • Understanding of HACCP principles
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Flexibility to task and hours; to suit operation
  • Good Communication skills at all levels
  • Good telephone manner
