Sitting within a beautiful and secure site, the Defence Academy hosts 2 lakes and is surrounded by acres of scenic woodland. The Academy trains the future commanders and staff officers of all three UK Armed Services and those from many countries around the world.
The Defence Academy has an opening for a Tech Stores Team Leader to join our team. The successful post holder will carry out line management activities for staff and duties associated with the issue, control and accounting of stores and equipment for the Defence Academy and Lodger Units. The Tech Store Manager will be responsible for ensuring all MJDI Management Checks are processed, attendance of the Logistics Monthly Management meeting and provide support to other departments within logistics as required. Other duties include, carrying out additional tasks, as directed by the Seniors Stores Supervisor/ Head of Logistics.
No doubt that this is a fast-paced role and comes with its challenges however, you will be joining a supportive team and a friendly working environment.
What you need to do the job:
The ideal candidate is Management of Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI) Trained MA and UAA, this desirable but not essential. Additionally, it is highly desirable that you have prior experience of MOD net. It would be advantageous to have experience of working in Military Stores. It is essential that you have a Full UK Driving Licence and are able to achieve an SC Clearance (Prior to Appointment).
