Job title: Technical Lead - Managed Desktop Service
Base location: Solihull with UK Travel
Salary: Up to £50,000
As a global company of 50,000 employees we rely on the EUC (End User Computer) Standard Service team for many of the services providing centrally managed desktops, laptops, tablets and mobile devices to UK&E, Corporate and Secure users. This is currently supporting nearly approximately 12,000 users. As the Technical Lead, you will be responsible for the overall architecture, high level design and engineering configuration of the EUC Standard Service, working with suppliers and operational teams to continually review the technology currency and deployments to assure fit for purpose and performance.
This is the key role for day-to-day and long-term technical management of the EUC Standard Service functionality and performance. You will be responsible for the development and ongoing management of technical architecture and High-level design across the entire lifecycle, identifying and controlling technical costs of the service.
This role encompasses numerous activities from supporting service management in addressing systemic/design issues to acting as a cross-functional link across delivery teams, most prominently between Operations and partner/3rd party teams.

What you'll need to do the role
Firstly, you'll need an industry recognized architectural certification and experience in IT Architecture Design within a TOGAF aligned organisation. You'll need a demonstrable track record in defining, High-Level architecting and developing configuration deployment designs for enterprise scale infrastructure and application. Whilst knowledge of a broad spectrum of IT technologies and services is extremely beneficial, you will need extensive experience with Mobile Device management, specifically Airwatch and Microsoft Intune. Lastly, you'll need to be or able to achieve SC clearance.
