Technical Training Instructor
About the role
Here at Babcock's Defence Teaching Training Team we are now recruiting for a Technical Training Instructor. Within this facility a range of courses are currently delivered for existing and new employees from different background such as control systems, automotive, metal smiths and armaments.
The successful candidate for this role will report into the Technical Training Supervisor. The main purpose of this role is to deliver and develop training courses in house and as a result of that limit the use of external training providers. That would involve identifying the training requirements and providing courses that are able to meet them. Courses in subject will vary from basic IT, health and safety, tools handing, general induction and more. Another part of this role will be to look after c/ 20 site based apprentices making sure that they're completing their syllabus to the standard required.
What do I need to do the role?
In order to be considered, applicants must hold some form of training experience preferably within the military or technical engineering sectors. Being a NVQ Assessor is also highly desirable.
What else do I need to know?
* The successful candidate must be willing to go through a SC clearance.
* This role is predominantly based on site, 37h per week with a possibility of working flexi hours and finishing early on a Friday.
