Technician (Mechanical)

James Cook University Hospital

Middlesbrough, TS4 3BW

Full time (37.5 hours per week) 8-week cycle working a mixture of days and nights, 07.00 to 19.00 and 19.00 to 07.00


Salary starting from £27,800 with shift allowances which equate to a further 25% of the basic salary


Here at Serco we're looking for a Technician to join us at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough. The Technician will carry out planned and reactive mechanical and some electrical maintenance to services on the site and undertake minor improvement and minor capital works as directed by Estates management.

The Technician will provide initial response to all out of hours reactive (Mechanical / Electrical / Building) requests through the Help Desk facility and escalate as required to Estates Management.


What you'll need to do the role
You will have a recognised CITB apprenticeship or a demonstrated equivalent (minimum NVQ level 3)

Possession of an ONC in Mechanical Engineering or City and Guilds Craft Certificate relevant to trade or similar recognised trade certificate

Extensive experience in a building services environment
