Brunel University London is a world-class University based in Uxbridge, West London. The College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences is a leading provider of clinical and life science-based education, including courses such as: Psychology; Biological Sciences; Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences; Physician Associate, Physiotherapy, and Nursing.

This position sits within College’s Services Team, whose mission is: to ensure that all students and staff receive a consistently excellent experience; all activities and operations undertaken by the team are compliant, safe and well managed; and all College facilities and equipment are used and maintained to the highest standards.

Brunel is now recruiting a technician to support all technical operations within the Division of Psychology and associated British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited courses. The post holder’s primary focus will be to support all student related practical activities on BPS accredited psychology courses. The secondary function of this role is to support the wider day-to-day activities of the Division. This includes: asset management and husbandry; and management and development of Divisional research space / equipment.

The role is offered at either the S5 Technician level or S6 Senior Technician level (dependant on qualification, skills and prior experience). Only one application is necessary, appointment to this post at the Senior Technician level will require the successful candidate to:

  • Hold a relevant degree or have significant applicable experience with a depth and breadth of knowledge;
  • Ability to support staff in the development of practical teaching materials (such as experiments and paradigms within computer applications)
  • Hold or have the ability to achieve RSciTECH and have the ability to instruct and deliver technical content
