Would you like to be part of the Test and Acceptance team? We currently have a vacancy for a Test Engineer at our site in Christchurch.
As a Test Engineer, you will be involved in a programme which covers many disciplines including design, development, installation, implementation, integration, acceptance, training and logistics support.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to be part of a long term appointment is a complement to the existing 25 strong team that provides support to a fully integrated command and control system to Royal Navy operations staff.
Your main responsibilities as a Test Engineer will involve:
Developing and executing of Test Schedules / Cases
Manual system and application testing
Accurately documenting testing activities and results
Troubleshooting system and application problems
Liaising with software development team
Assisting with conducting of System Acceptance Tests (SATs) on customer site
Testing the system to prove and clear Problem Reports (PRs)
Responsibility for the deployment of application software to test rigs
Contributing to the Lean improvement process
Supporting the project in SHE related activities
Your skills and qualifications as a Test Engineer:
Familiar with test methods, scheduling, requirements and the use of integration rigs in the development of a complex system
Fault finding skills (windows based, server based)
An understanding of system requirements capture and testing
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

You should have good communication skills, both written and verbal. You must be able to work autonomously with a proactive approach, being logical, analytical with a methodical approach to problem solving. You will have good interpersonal skills while working collaboratively within the project across different teams
Salary: £28 000 - £34 000
