RAF Brize Norton is based in Carterton, Oxfordshire and is the largest station of the Royal Airforce. Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support to RAF Brize Norton since 1997. 'Brize' is the Main Operating Base for the RAF's entire air transport and air-to-air refuelling fleets and is the largest station in the Royal Air Force with approximately 5,800 service personnel, 1,200 contractors and 300 civilian staff members.
We have an opening for a TMW MT Driver to join our team. The Serco MT Driver is responsible for the effective delivery of the Serco contracted driver duties under the instruction of the Tactical Medical Wing (TMW) MT Shift Supervisor as directed by the Transport Manager.
It should be noted that the Authority - RAF Brize Norton is responsible for the provision of facilities and equipment required to deliver the contracted output. Your main duties will include; Completing all driving/vehicle related tasks in a timely efficient manner to a satisfactory standard, observing all relevant regulations; Road Transport, Tachograph & Driving Hours, Technical and Working Time Directive. You must Maintain an effective working knowledge of current regulatory requirements. Including Serco Management System, appropriate National and MoD legislation and local Serco and RAF Brize Norton processes and procedures. You will be responsible for Ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety Act 1974. The successful post holder shall perform other tasks which are reasonable and relevant to Serco at RAF Brize Norton as directed by the Serco Logistics Support Manager or Transport Manager.

What you need to do the job:
To be considered for this role you must have Full Driving Licence with Category C and D and have a DCPC Licence for respective licences held. You must be a Holder of Digital Tachograph Card and a colour perception category of the required standard to enable the issue of an Airfield Driving Permit. You should have conversance with Road Transport Regulations, Tachograph and Drivers Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive for Mobile Workers, Driver Licensing, RAF Motor Transport Regulations and RAF Brize Norton Airfield Driving Regulations. It is essential that you implement and promote a Zero Harm Open Reporting Safety Culture where all individuals are willing and able to report any issue or event which they believe has or could potentially lead to a Safety risk.
