37 hours per week

NS8 £30,060 - £31,586 per annum

We are now recruiting to the role of Works Planner within our Housing Maintenance and Asset Management team. In this role, you will provide a quality service to all customers by providing advice and information, plan requests for repairs, and manage the trade team diaries effectively to ensure efficient use of their time and a first-time fix for all customers where possible.

You will have a range of responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Acting as a first point of contact for all works planning issues
  • To take responsibility for resolving customer enquiries and complaints
  • To plan in repair works for empty homes, to make the most efficient use of time and resources
  • To support the Works Planning Supervisor or Voids Supervisor with all day-to-day tasks
  • To work with Stores to ensure materials are ready for repairs and issues are reported back
  • To act as an advocate for customers to ensure issues are addressed and responded to

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience working in a works planning function, providing advice and guidance to customers
  • Take a customer focussed approach
  • Understand repairs, trades, and associated skills
  • Be able to adapt communications to a range of audiences
  • Be able to use tact and diplomacy to secure effective outcomes, maintaining professionalism in all situations
