Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Aston University Engineering Academy signed the Armed Forces Covenant in February 2017 and subsequently have achieved Gold Employer Recognition. AUEA employ several service leavers representing the tri-services as teachers, school staff instructors and volunteers. Our partnership with RAF Cosford, Royal Engineers and Royal Navy UTC Affiliation Team demonstrates how important we value our Covenant and the Royal Navy Charter.
AUEA formed a Combined Cadet Force contingent in 2017 with over 100 cadets taking part on a weekly basis, helping them develop in line with core values of the Royal Air Force.
Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant is to continue to offer support to service leavers and families through promotion of jobs on CTP and through Forces Families Jobs and to ensure that our policies reflect the commitment towards reservists and to offer opportunities to experience teaching first hand.
