Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
We are proud to support the Armed Forces community by honouring the Armed Forces Covenant. We recognise the value that Serving Personnel, both Regular and Reserves, Veterans, Uniformed Cadet Instructors and Service Families contribute to our business and the United Kingdom.
About us
B.A.S.I.C. (Before and After School in the Community formally known as Before and After School in Churchill) was founded more than 20 years ago by a small group of mothers, for mothers, essentially looking after each other’s children. Corner House Nursery (formally Corner House Crèche), Early Education and Childcare was founded several years later, but essentially followed the same format, mothers looking after each other’s children.
Over the years the service has grown and developed into a successful not for profit organisation, (charity number SC024081) providing affordable childcare for all local children. It employs highly trained professional staff who are all PVG Disclosed and registered with the Scottish Social Services Council. The service is registered with the Care Inspectorate and is supported by Argyll & Bute Council and the Scottish Out of school Care Network.
