Bassetlaw District Council

Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

Bassetlaw District Council signed the Armed Forces Covenant back in 2013 and, in 2022 became an Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award recipient.  Our aim is to  make sure that we are supporting our employees, or potential employees, who are in or have left the armed forces, or are a partner / spouse / close one of someone in the forces.   We offer 24 half days' paid leave for reservists and the same paid leave for Cadet Force Adult Volunteers. We have an Armed Forces Champions Group comprised of employees with a forces background. They help to ensure that customers, veterans or staff are not disadvantage as a result of a service background and help to provide coordinated assistance.
