Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

Care after Combat recognise the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring to our business and to our country. We seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, by:

  • Promoting the fact that we are an Armed Forces-friendly organisation
  • Supporting the employment of veterans
  • Supporting the employment of Service spouses and partners;  and providing flexibility in granting leave for Service spouses and partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment
  • Supporting our employees who are members of the Reserve Forces
  • Supporting our employees who are volunteer leaders in military cadet organisations
  • Supporting Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, the Poppy Appeal Day and Remembrance activities.
  • Supporting Armed Forces charities with fundraising and supporting staff who volunteer to assist.

About us

Care after Combat is a UK based Charity providing support within the criminal justice system for the well-being of former British Armed Forces personnel and their families. Care after Combat was founded as a direct response to the Government’s commitment to meet the moral obligation under the Armed Forces Covenant. Care after Combat promotes the provision of support and mentorship to those within the Criminal Justice System, to prepare individuals for release, to support their rehabilitation and to reduce re-offending.
