Central Law Group CIC

Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

We deliver free legal advice to serving members of the Armed Forces across five counties in England, with the aim of expanding this to a national service. We believe that those who defend the rule of law should be able to avail of it without being restricted by affordability.

We are committed to the Covenant's pledge to acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the Armed Forces should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives. We are therefore looking to diversify our team and reflect our dedication to the Armed Forces by employing legally qualified veterans, service leavers, adult cadet force volunteers and reservists. Nobody has a better understanding of the legal challenges members of the Armed Forces face than those who have served or have first-hand experience. We are enthusiastic to learn from and collaborate with our Armed Forces employees and clients to deliver the best legal services to those who need us most.

About us

Central Law Group CIC is the only national, non-profit law firm that provides legal advice in Family, Housing, Consumer, Wills and Employment Law. Above all, we believe that no one should ever have to enter a courtroom – virtual or otherwise – having had no assistance at all. We do charge but our rates are means tested. As a CIC, we do not distribute profits to partners, but direct them to our pro bono services and free clinics delivered through Social Media.

We are particularly proud of our pro bono work - it is impossible to turn away people who need assistance because they cannot afford advice. All too often these are people facing injunctive orders, loss of livelihood, their home or contact with their children.

We have an outstanding young team and are actively recruiting more lawyers in Family and Employment. We want to encourage remote working so where you live is no bar to joining us. We prize our clients and treat them with the utmost respect, honesty and care.
