About us
DCS is a highly complex organisation employing c.1000 personnel which includes Teachers, MOD Broader Banded Civil Servants, Soulbury Grades, Locally Employed Civilians and Contractors in multiple worldwide locations. Defence Children Services (DCS) formaly known as (The Directorate Children and Young People) (DCYP) provides appropriate professional direction, support and advice to ensure that service children, where ever they are living in the world, and young people are provided with every opportunity to achieve the best possible outcomes and fulfil their potential.
In DCS we believe that, with the right teaching and support, every Service child can achieve great things. Our schools give children from all backgrounds an exceptional education and real choices about their future. Our schools have much to be proud of but we have ambitious plans for the future and there is still much more to do. Our staff strive for excellence in everything they do and hold an unwavering commitment to improving outcomes for all children, regardless of background or ability.
