Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
We are proud of our gold award Employer Recognition Scheme status and support our UK armed forces by supporting reservists, cadet instructors, veterans and military spouses/partners into employment, and offering supportive policies that value their contribution to the community and to our Trust. We will always consider offering an interview to spouses/partners if they meet the selection criteria laid out in a job advert. We will look sympathetically on requests for leave before, during or after a partner’s deployment according to our policy. We grant special paid leave for employees who are bereaved or whose loved ones are injured via our Special Leave policy.
About us
Who are we? East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is a community which prides itself on providing the highest standard of healthcare services to our patients. We are in the top three NHS hospital groups in the East of England for size and number of patients. We have also just invested £150 million in services and buildings, so we have some fantastic environments to work in. About our four hospitals: Lister Hospital, Stevenage
Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, Northwood
Hertford County Hospital, Hertford and QEII Hospital, Welwyn Garden City
Why are we special? Our strong links with the University of Hertfordshire and Cambridge University… These strong links mean that our staff are supported and encouraged to further their personal development. Our relationship with the Universities allows the Trust to invest in its staff, providing fantastic training and development.
