Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
The East of England Energy Group (EEEGR) is and will promote that we are an Armed Forces-friendly organisation, supporting the employment of veterans and service spouses and partners by recognising military skills and qualifications in our recruitment and selection process and advertising vacancies with organisations such as the Career Transition Partnership and Forces Families Jobs. We are flexible and understanding in granting necessary leave for, for example, Reserve Forces, volunteer leaders in military cadet organisations and Service spouses and partners. Wherever possible, we support Armed Forces charities and national events such as Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, the Poppy Appeal Day and Remembrance activities. Within our programme of events, we provide reduced / FOC access to our appropriate energy industry events and we offer guidance to the Armed Forces, whether Regular or Reserve, veterans and their families in seeking employment within the energy sector, in areas such as employability skills and making relevant contacts.
