Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
The values of mutual support and disciplines of military life lend themselves very well to success and rewarding roles in the care sector. We are constantly recruiting and, on top of equal opportunity for all, we see these many positive attributes transferring to the care of mainly, but not always, older people in the Herefordshire community, many of whom have had direct contact with the military earlier in their lives. We do not require previous care experience although often our care staff have come across care needs through family connections – principally we are looking for those who simply are deeply about our older generation. We can work around very flexible availability and working patterns, typically as much or as little as someone wants to work.
About us
Home Instead is a provider of care and companionship in the home, allowing mainly older people to stay living, safely, in their own homes, but with help provided. We help our clients with normal domestic tasks, shopping, meal preparation, trips out to medical appointments, and spending quality time with them, during minimum visit times of one hour. With over 200 offices in the UK, Home Instead has principles of providing the highest-quality care, as evidenced by market-leading CQC ratings. Care packages are highly-personalised and focusing on a holistic approach to what the client needs, wants, and enjoys doing in their lives – we try to be an extended member of the family, often providing great reassurance to sons and daughters that Mum or Dad is well, in their own home.
