Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Working on the military training estate, we recognise the value and significant benefits that the military community bring to our business and this includes serving personnel, reservists, veterans or service leavers as well as military families. This is why we have pledged our commitment by signing the Armed Forces Covenant. This support and commitment has also been rewarded with a Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award, recognising our flexibility towards employing and supporting members of the military community. We understand the challenges that forces families may face when finding employment, particularly following a new posting. For example, we understand that their employment history might be disjointed and we understand that finding a support network is challenging (such as accessing local services like childcare). But we also recognise the skills and experiences that forces families offer to employers and we don't like to miss out on great talent. We operate a transparent recruitment process where the best person gets the job and we welcome applications from all members of the armed forces community.
