Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

We recognise the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans, military families and dependants bring to our business We will uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, by:

  • Supporting our military community in areas where we operate;
  • Seeking to support the employment of veterans young and old;
  • Striving to support the employment of Service spouses and partners;
  • Endeavouring to offer a degree of flexibility in granting leave for Service spouses and partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment;
  • Offering support to our local cadet units, either in our local community or in local schools, where possible;
  • Seeking to support our employees who choose to be members of the Reserve forces, including accommodating their training and deployment where possible.

 We will seek to honour this by inviting feedback from the Service community and our customers on how we are doing.

About us

For almost a century NAAFI has delivered retail, wholesale, leisure and catering services to the UK Armed Forces. We are the Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) in-house provider and are committed to supporting the British Armed Forces wherever and whenever we are needed.

We believe that UK Armed Forces veterans and their dependants are the best fit to work at NAAFI and to provide support to the current UK Armed Forces, as such over a third of our employees are veterans.

Working with us, veterans gain essential transferrable skills through our award winning training programme and opportunities to work onboard Naval Ships, in Germany, the Falklands and Ascension Islands, Gibraltar, Brunei and anywhere in the world when supporting deployments and exercises.
