Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

We were proud to enhance our focus on Fairness, Inclusion and Respect by signing the Armed Forces Covenant and to subsequently receive the Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) in recognition of our commitment to the Armed Forces.

We recognise the value that our Armed Forces personnel, veterans and their families contribute to the country and our communities and we strive to support the values of the Armed Forces Covenant in many ways, including:

  • A military recruitment strategy to employ Veterans, Service leavers, Spouses/partners, Reservist and Cadet Forces Adult Volunteers (CFAV’s).
  • Providing 10 days’ additional paid leave per year for Reservists to help them meet their training requirements. 5 days’ additional paid leave to CFAV’s
  • Promoting the Armed Forces Covenant to our suppliers
  • Working with White Ensign Association and the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) to establish a tailored employment pathway for Service spouses and partners and Service leavers
  • 2 paid volunteer days to support employee’s charity of choice
  • Promoting Armed Forces and Reservist days and awareness week.
  • Support Spouses/Partners during mobilisation and moments of need.

Through our military strategy we aim to recruit personnel from the military community who have a breadth of aptitude, skills and training which are transferable and could add real value to our business. We recognise it can be hard transitioning from services to civilian life, we offer a great induction to the company, buddies, military network, excellent benefits, and a wellbeing programme.
