Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
As the lead for Step into Health we advocate the employment of members of the Armed Forces community. We support many NHS organisations to recruit from this community, recognising the transferable skills they bring. We also support NHS organisations to retain their reservists, supporting them to take part in their Armed Forces commitments whilst embedding the skills they bring into the NHS.
We signed the Armed Forces covenant in 2018 and are proud to have employed veterans, spouses and reservists in our workforce.
About us
At NHS Employers, people are our business. We are an equal opportunities employer, welcoming staff from all backgrounds and areas of the community.
We work with HR teams from across the NHS to help them to be the best employers they can be; to look after their staff and get the most out of them. We encourage them to listen to their staff, to support their development, and to invest in their health and wellbeing.
The Development and Employment team at NHS Employers delivers programmes of activity which support NHS organisations to address their challenges in these areas and share good practice. This role will form an integral part of the delivery of these work programmes, engaging directly with HR teams to do so.
