North East Derbyshire District Council

Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

North East Derbyshire District Council (NEDDC) is proud to commit to the Armed Forces Covenant for Derbyshire which was reviewed and re-signed on 7th March 2019. By doing so, the Council recognises the efforts made by our Armed Forces Community, be they those currently in service (including new recruits and reservists), people of working age who have left the armed forces, those who have performed National Service, veterans beyond retirement age, cadet organisations, the dependants of these groups and also Armed Forces charities.

We offer all staff the opportunity to apply for other suitable positions within the organisation, provide flexible working opportunities, training and development which helps staff to develop their skills and employability and for the Armed Forces Community employees provide an extra week’s paid leave for military training as well as potential for additional unpaid leave for armed forces duties subject to the needs of the service.

Currently the Local Authorities in Derbyshire co-operate by advertising all opportunities on the following website: https://jobs.derbyshire.gov.uk/ .
NEDDC also publishes its vacancies on https://www.ne-derbyshire.gov.uk/index.php/your-council/jobs .
