Perrywood Garden Centre & Nurseries Ltd recognises the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring to our business. We will seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, by:

• promoting the fact that we are an armed forces-friendly organisation;
• seeking to support the employment of veterans young and old and working with the Career Transition Partnership;
• striving to support the employment of Service spouses and partners;
• endeavouring to offer a degree of flexibility in granting leave for Service spouses and partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment;
• seeking to support our employees who choose to be members of the Reserve forces, including by accommodating their training and deployment where possible;
• aiming to actively participate in Armed Forces Day and supporting the Poppy Appeal.

​About us

Perrywood is an independent, family-owned garden centre and nursery run by the Bourne Family at Tiptree in Essex. We took over our second site, Perrywood Sudbury in 2018. In 2020 we have been placed 3rd in the Garden Centre Association’s Top 100 UK League Table and garden centre of excellence as well as winner of best UK Plant Area and Ruxley Rose Award both for the second year running.

Our vision is to inspire people to get more plants in their lives. Our every day mission is to offer a memorable garden centre experience; delivering wow customer service and giving employees, customers, suppliers and our local community a reason to smile. We have over 180 team members across both sites within our coffee shop and restaurant, indoor and outdoor plant area and nursery, gift shop, warehouse and office on full time, part time or weekend basis.
